Salt Crystal Pink Dangle Earrings

These Pink Salt Crystal Earrings are quite the challenge to design and make. First we design the shape, then it goes into the colored salt crystal bath for several hours. When we take it out of the salt crystal bath, the crystals have attached to our form however they cling to one another, just like stalactites. It needs to dry completely, before we can do any embellishing and finish the piece.

The earrings have glass beads in various shades of gold and purple/pink glitter beads attached with a gold wire spiral on gold studs. The salt crystals are brushed with gold leaf. The earrings weigh 1 3/4 oz.
